China Eastern Airlines (http://www.ce-air.com) flies four times a week (Mon, Tue, Thu, Sat) direct from Kunming (China) to Vientiane Wattay Airport (Laos), and vice versa.

Lao Airlines (www.Laos-Airlines.com) flies daily between Laos (Vientiane Capital) and China (Kunming).
Tickets cost US$146 (one-way, internet price), and US$275 (round trip), plus US$13 China airport tax and US$20 Fuel and Insurance surcharge (taxes are usually added to airfares at the time of buying tickets).

At present available direct flights from China to Laos are only from Kunming (Yunnan province) to Vientiane, Laos. To get to Laos by air from Beijing or other parts of China you will need to get to Kunming and get a flight from there to Laos, or fly to Bangkok, Thailand and then get a flight from Bangkok to Laos (Vientiane Capital, Luang Prabang, Savannakhet or Pakse).
