Sleeper bus to Luang Prabang and cheap hostel/guesthouse in Vientiane

Hi,


I plan to visit Laos early next month, me with 2 of my friends will arrive in the morning on March 3 in Vientiane International airport, we need 1 room in a cheap hostel or guest house to keep our luggages just for that day and also to take a shower before we leave the town in the evening for Luang Prabang.

So I need your help, could you advise us?

1. Which hostel/guest house I should book? (with email address so I can contact them)
I prefer the location which close to Patuxai

2. How/where can i buy sleeper bus tickets for Luang Prabang, depart on March 3 evening?

Here are hotels/guesthouse as requested. When you said cheap hotels, I'm not sure how cheap, but these are below $20. They all are in the area of Patuxai (around 5 minutes walk).

1. Sengprachan Boutique Hotel, near Morning market (and mall)and close to Patuxai http://bit.ly/1Qpjyon

Sorry I don't have their email or phone (I don't partner with any hotels or any other business, and I don't earn a commission doing this, but I just do it because I want to help others to travel to Laos with ease).

By the way, now you can book it online and pay when you check in and from my experience it's usually cheap booking online especially through agoda.

There are cheaper hostels like Backpackers Garden Hostel ($14) and Orange Backpacker Hostel ($13), but they are located toward the Mekong River (a bit far from Patuxai).

For the bus, you can buy ticket at the bus station, here is the map http://bit.ly/1Ubqv2h.
There are two sleeper buses daily, depart at 8:00pm and 8:30pm, price is 150,000Kip per ticket.

The ticket can only be bought on the day, booking is also accepted only on the departure day (hours prior to departing). If you want to book the tickets, here is the number: +856 21 612384 (if you dial the number in Laos, dial 021 612384 from any phone (land or mobile)) from abroad you need to add the country code 856.
