Hello

I'm from Vietnam.

1. I came Thailand by tourist visa. In October, I continue going Laos by cross the border Thailand- Laos ( Nan province- Sayabouly province).
So how many days I will get for my visa exempt in Laos?

2. How many days I 5 get for my visa exempt in Thailand when I go back Thailand by cross the border Thailand- Laos?

3. And because I intend to stay in Laos for long term. And I'm thinking that I will go to Laos-Thailand checkpoints to get renew my passport in Laos. But I'm concern about my passport if in the future, I continue staying in Thailand, my passport will have any problem with Thai immigration or not?

Thanks

As a Vietnamese passport holder, you can stay in Laos for 30 days on visa exemption.

2. Not sure, Thai visa is beyond my scope. sorry.

3. For Thailand you also have visa exemption for 30 days, it means that you can stay in Thailand for 30 days and travel to Laos, stay there for 30 days and back to Thailand stay for 30 days and then to Laos again in the next 30 days and so on... I think you can keep do this for some time before the immigration authority (either Lao or Thai) get suspicious. Once they suspect you, they will start to question you.

If you plan to stay long term, you'd better get work visa and a stay permit so that you don't have to worry.

FYI: On the visa free visit, you're prohibited from working.

Thanks
