by Nita

Hi there,

Is it a confirm deal that there's visa exemption for Indonesia passport holder/citizen?

Thank you for your help.

Hi Nita,

I've moved this post here as I think it needs its own section.

Apparently Indonesia passport holders still need to obtain a visa to enter Laos. You can get a 30-day visa on arrival for $30. Click here for more info on visa on arrival.

I confirm this is accurate because I have checked with Indonesia Embassy in Vientiane (I talked to the counsellor himself). Lao citizen going to Indonesia also need to get a visa.

Here are phone numbers of the Indonesia Embassy in Vientiane just in case you need to contact them.

+856-21 413-900
+856-21 413-905
+856-21 413-910

This will change soon, we can expect to have free visa by April or May this year. The two governments are working on the issue.

Hope this clears things up a bit.
