One day Visa overstay
by: Debra

Overstay is $10US per day. Extension is 5 day minimum @$2.50 per day. Since it's only one day for you, I'd say have a fresh crisp $10 bill, and a well rehearsed, 'Please excuse me.' (in Lao) for airport immigration officer who will stamp your passport out. They gave me no hassles when I overstayed in the same scenario as yours.

That will count 1 day overstay
by: Duangpy

Anantaram K,

That's a good question.
The answer is YES, you can stay beyond 30 days but that means you overstay your visa, and that will incur in a fine. 24 or fewer hours will be counted one day of overstay. The fine for overstay is US$10 per day.

When the official detect your overstay (on your departure) they will ask you to pay the fine.

Good luck!
